Bayern Munich 5-3 Augsburg
Bayern Munich retained top spot in the Bundesliga after hammering Augsburg 5-3 courtesy at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern gave Sadio Mane his first start since recovering from a leg injury he sustained in November last year, Benjamin Pavard returned from suspension but they were without Eric Choupo-Moting, who was ruled out with a back problem.
Augsburg had a dream start after Mergim Berisha gave them the lead with just three minutes on the clock but Joao Cancelo levelled matters for Bayern on 15 minutes.
Pavard quickly gave the hosts the lead four minutes later and the Frenchman made it 3-1 and completed his brace ten minutes before the interval.
Leroy Sane put the game to bed for the Bavarians just before the half-time break.
Berisha reduced the deficit for Augsburg on the hour-mark from the penalty spot but the hopes of a comeback was dashed 16 minutes before time after Alphonso Davies restored a three-goal cushion for the Bavarians. Meanwhile, Irvin Cardona scored the third consolation goal for the visitors in stoppage time.

The visitors paid the price for that, as Timo Werner eventually broke the deadlock for Leipzig just before the hour-mark and Emil Forsberg doubled their lead with 19 minutes to go.
