Bundesliga Wrap: Bayern Munich sign off in style

Bayern Munich 5-2 FC Augsburg

Bayern Munich celebrated a ninth straight Bundesliga title in style with a 5-2 victory over FC Augsburg at the Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Jeffrey Gouweleeuw's own-goal gave Bayern the ideal start, as the floodgates opened with Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich and Kingsley Coman giving the host a four-goal lead at the break.

Augsburg responded through Andre Hahn and Florian Niederlechner, but a landmark strike from Robert Lewandowski who set a new 41 league goal a season record put the visitors out of sight.

Borussia Dortmund 3-1 Bayer Leverkusen

Borussia Dortmund solidified third-place on the table after they recorded a 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen, who finished the season in sixth spot.

Erling Braut Haaland had Dortmund on the up before Marco Reus added and had the former to a double late on, while Lars Bender's penalty gave the host some hope but to no avail.

Vfl Wolfsburg 2-3 Mainz

Vfl Wolfsburg went down 3-2 to Mainz 05 in the final day of the Bundesliga campaign, but still sealed a top-four spot on Saturday afternoon.

Jean-Paul Boetius got Mainz up and running in the first half, but Maximilian Philipp handed Wolfsburg a comeback after halftime before Robin Quaison netted the visitors second.

The host went ahead through Joao Victor late on before centre-back Stefan Bell gave the visitors the lead and victory with a late strike to end the contest.

FC Koln 1-0 Schalke 04

FC Koln gave themselves another shot at the top flight as a late effort against bottom-placed Schalke 04 ensured a 1-0 win and a relegation playoff spot.

The finish came from centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw as the match looked destined to end in a goalless stalemate.

VfB Stuttgart 0-2 Arminia Bielefeld

Arminia Bielefeld avoided a relegation playoff spot thanks to a 2-0 win against VfB Stuttgart out at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

The away side entered the match in third-bottom and following a goalless first half, a strike from the penalty spot by Fabian Klos was needed to unlock the host.

Stuttgart succumbed to another strike from the away side before fulltime with Ritsu Doan coming up to net the second goal that see his side end the campaign in 15th spot on the table.

Werder Bremen 2-4 Borussia Monchengladbach

Werder Bremen were relegated from the Bundesliga following a 4-2 defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach in their final game of the season.

Lars Stindl gave Gladbach the lead in the first three minutes and saw Marcus Thuram, Ramy Bensebaini and Florian Neuhaus add to Bremen's woes.

A late surge from the host followed with Milot Rashica and Niclas Fullkrug on target, but no come back materialised.
