Bayern Munich's perfect start in the Bundesliga came to an end after playing to a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
The Bavarians just came off a 7-0 thumping of VFL Bochum last weekend and were buoyed to continue their dominant start to the campaign.
Nonetheless, it didn't go according to script as Gladbach found the opener when Marcus Thuram ran through on goal following a ball into space and slotted home.
Bayern struggled to get into gear after having gone behind, but fortunately enough managed to force a point in the latter minutes from a finish by Leroy Sane as it concluded all square.
Borussia Dortmund rallied back from last weekend's loss to Werder Bremen and grabbed a slender 1-0 win over the second-bottom Hertha Berlin.
Interestingly, Dortmund started key players like Thomas Meunier, Emre Can and Thorgan Hazard on the substitutes bench and started Anthony Modeste up top.
The winner came in the final quarter of the first half by the self-same Modeste from an assist by Salih Ozcan, as the Black and Yellow got back on track to keep up with the league's early front-runners.
A double from Christopher Nkunku got RB Leipzig their first win of the season in a 2-0 victory against VfL Wolfsburg down at the Red Bull Arena.
The win shot the host up to the mid-table bracket from the bottom-half, as Nkunku's fifth minute penalty and a last-gasp effort were enough to see them home and dry.
Whereas for Wolfsburg, it is their fourth defeat in succession and as such prop up the table with no points earned whatsoever.
Union Berlin crushed the winless and returning Schalke 04 6-1 to remain amongst the early pace-setters on the league table.
It was a goal-feast in the first half, with Berlin first off the mark through Morten Thorsby before Marius Butler's penalty levelled it up only for Sheraldo Becker and Janik Haberer to restore Berlin's lead.
Becker bagged a second following halftime before a double during the last three minutes from Sven Michel put the host out of sight and saw them to an emphatic victory.
After a disappointing start to the season, Bayer Leverkusen secured their first win of the campaign when they recorded a 3-0 triumph over Mainz 05.
Interestingly, all three goals came in the first half as Exequiel Palacios and a double towards the halftime period from Jeremie Frimpong helped the visitors to their maiden win of the season.
Leverkusen did finish the match on a sour note with Piero Hincapie and Mitchel Bakker given red cards minutes before fulltime.
TSG Hoffenheim registered their third win on the bounce after getting the better of FC Augsburg 1-0 and moved within the top-four contingent.
Augsburg, who have won just once from their opening four engagements, sit in the bottom-half of the table and are just a point away from the bottom-three.
The winner happened in the middle of the first half from Dennis Geiger, who finished off an assist by Danish international Robert Skov.
