FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez found the back of the net as Uruguay twice came from behind in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Japan at the 2019 Copa America.
La Celeste, who secured a 4-0 victory in their Copa opener against Ecuador, almost got off to an amazing start as Suarez attempted an audacious long-range effort from the kick-off, but it went inches over the crossbar.

The Samurai Blue, who suffered a 4-0 defeat in their tournament opener against Chile, took the lead much against the run of play in the 25th minute through Koji Miyoshi, who comfortably slotted the ball past shot-stopper Fernando Muslera.
Uruguay managed to find an equaliser seven minutes later through Suarez from the penalty spot, after VAR adjudged Naomichi Ueda to have impeded Edinson Cavani in the area.
The two sides went into the half-time break deadlocked at 1-1, and it was Japan who came out flying in the second half as Miyoshi completed his brace in the 59th minute after some questionable goalkeeping from Muslera.
Uruguay upped their efforts for a second goal and were duly rewarded in the 66th minute, when Jose Gimenez escaped his marker and equalised with a strong header from a corner.
Suarez almost emerged as the hero for the four-time Copa champions, but his header in the 80th minute cannoned off the crossbar as Oscar Tabarez's side were held to a 2-2 draw by the Japanese.
