REVEALED: Why Real president will boycott ElClasico

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly rejected the invitation to watch his side face Barcelona in ElClasico.

The Los Blancos president was expected to sit in the director's box at the Olympic stadium on Saturday afternoon, but it seems that won't be happening now.

The Athletic have reported the Madrid hierarchy are not happy with the social media post made by Barcelona spokesperson Mikel Camps trying to discredit Vinicius Junior's racism claim.

"It's not racism, he [Vinicius] deserves a slap for being a clown. What do these unnecessary and meaningless stepovers represent in the center of the field?," the tweet said.

An apology was made by the Catalan giants and the tweet has since been deleted, but it seems the damage has already been done.

There has also been growing tension between the two clubs Negreira case, with Barcelona president recent hitting out at the media in Madrid for the coverage on the matter.

The report added that vice president Eduardo Fernandez de Blas and club legend Emilio Butragueno will represent Madrid at the match, but they are planning to snub the director's lunch.

Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti has seemingly backed Perez's decision not to attend ElClasico.

"What I know is that the decisions the president makes are for the good of the club. Everything he decides is for the good of the club," he told reporters, as per Goal.
