Chelsea 'eye' Premier League boss as Potter replacement

Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a certain Premier League manager to replace Graham Potter amid the club's poor run of form.

Following their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, the Blues are now in 10th place on the Premier League table.

Incredibly, Chelsea have won just one of their 11 matches across all competitions in 2023, and Potter now has the worst win percentage, 27.8%, in the club's history, according to The Sun

With the pressure increasing on the English manager as a result, a host of head coaches have been linked as potential replacements at Stamford Bridge, including former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea are big admirers of Brentford manager Thomas Frank, with the 49-year-old's style of play and track record with young players said to be the reason his name has now been thrown into the hat.

Frank is seen as a contingency plan if the Blues' results do not improve in the near future.

Brentford are in ninth position on the EPL log, with a four-point gap between themselves and Chelsea.

As things stand, Potter is still publicly backed by Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly, but the situation is believed to be at critical stage, with it being viewed that the club's next two matches – against Leeds United in the English top flight and the second leg of their round of 16 UEFA Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund, having lost the first leg 1-0 – could decide Potter's fate.
