After unveiling Moises Caicedo on Monday night, Chelsea have now reportedly hijacked yet another transfer from Premier League rivals Liverpool.
The Blues beat the Reds to the signing of Caicedo from Brighton Hove Albion for a British record transfer fee, and they now look set to win the race for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia too.

The Merseysiders had reportedly agreed a £60 million (R1.4 million) fee with the Championship side for the Belgium international, which was £10 million (R241 million) more than the original asking price.
However, it appears Liverpool are set lose out on a second transfer target to Chelsea as the 19-year-old has decided to move to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £50 million (R1.2 billion) plus add-ons, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.

It is further claimed that the midfielder decided to join the Blues as they wanted to sign him at the beginning of last season already, but had a £50 million offer on the final day of the transfer window turned down on that occasion.
Lavia made 29 appearances in the Premier League in the 2022/23 campaign, and also earned his first call-up to the Belgium national side in March earlier this year.
