After Hakim Ziyech's expected exit from Chelsea fell through, it has now been claimed the Blues messed up his transfer "three times" on deadline day because they were pre-occupied with their record deal to sign Enzo Fernandez.
The Morocco international was expected to joined Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday after it was reported that he had agreed to join the side on loan for the remainder of the season.

He had, in fact, landed in France on deadline day to undergo a medical pending the move, but the parties involved failed to finalise the transfer on time, although it has since been claimed that this was Chelsea's fault.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions' manager Christophe Galtier even confirmed earlier on Tuesday that his club was working on a deal to bring the player to the Parc des Princes, stating, per journalist Fabrizio Romano: "This information has emerged. It is true, the club is working on Ziyech but as I speak to you he is still a Chelsea player."
According to the Daily Star, the move collapsed due to the Blues' failure to send the correct documents on three separate occasions, because they were too focused on completing Fernandez's British record transfer from Benfica for a fee of £107 million (R2.2 billion) on the day.
It is further claimed that PSG are furious with the London club as a result, and are expected to launch an appeal to French governing body the Ligue de Football Professionnel on Wednesday in order to try to get the transfer completed after the deadline.
Ziyech impressed with the Atlas Lions at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar when they made history in reaching the semi-finals of the tournament, becoming the first African nation ever to reach that stage of the competition.

Despite featuring fairly regularly under Graham Potter for the Blues since the global showpiece ended, he remained one of the club's likely exits after interest from the likes of AC Milan, Roma, and RB Leipzig, but now looks likely to spend the rest of the campaign in London.
