Chelsea have now reportedly reached a full agreement to sign a player who has a worrying injury record.
The Blues have been the biggest spenders in the two most recent transfer windows, with 12 new faces being bought this season under Todd Boehly's reign.
The spending appears to be far from over, however, as the club co-owner is reportedly eyeing two more signings in Noni Madueke and Moises Caicedo.
The London club is said to still be looking to agree a fee for the latter after Brighton Hove Albion turned down a £55 million (R1.1 billion) bid for the midfielder.

With regards to Madueke, Sky Sports have now reported that Chelsea have reached an agreement in principle with PSV Eindhoven to sign the forward for £29 million (R618 million).
There are still some details that need to be ironed out, but the winger is now understood to be in England to complete the transfer.
The 20-year-old left Tottenham Hotspur in 2018 for PSV, where he eventually became a first-team regular in the 2020/21 campaign.
Initially, it appeared the Dutch side did not want to lose both Cody Gakpo, who has joined Liverpool, and Madueke in the same transfer window, but Chelsea's persistence is said to have paid off.

The English winger has a worrying injury record, though, having missed 53 games of football due to injury since becoming a regular figure in Ruud van Nistelrooy's side in the 2020/21 campaign – a large amount for a player of his age.
Madueke has already had to sit out 18 matches this season because of injury, but will be hoping his fortunes change at Stamford Bridge should the deal be completed as expected.
