The Dutchman will have a tough task on his hands trying to guide the Foxes clear of the relegation zone, as the club currently sit 16th on the table with just 10 points from 12 games.

The team's most recent defeat came against Enzo Maresca's Chelsea, leading to Cooper being shown the door.

The side's new boss, meanwhile, picked up three victories and a draw during his short stint at Old Trafford, with two victories coming against Leicester in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League.

The Dutch tactician will bring with him the experience of managing Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven for a season, during which he led the team to domestic glory, winning a domestic cup and finishing runners-up in the league.
