A former Manchester United star has labelled Bruno Fernandes selfish after the midfielder's response to criticism this week.
Fernandes gave an interview to the Athletic where he responded to criticism about his form last season, where the Red Devils finished sixth.
The Portuguese compared his situation to that of Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe, who had struggled during his time with Arsenal and has since been loaned out.

"He (Pepe) had some bad games and everyone was saying, 'He still has to adapt'," Fernandes told the Athletic.
"But when Bruno was having a bad game, it was just because he was moaning or not focused on the game."
Former Red Devils right-back Paul Parker says Fernandes' recent comments are worrying and makes him look selfish.
"Bruno Fernandes is the kind of person, if the boat was sinking, he would be the first person to jump out of it," Parker told BeMyBet, as per the Sun.
"That says it all in my opinion.
"When again he's asked to talk to the press, someone's got to sit next to him and educate him a little bit in what he should say and not say.
"It could be a joke or something. But that's worrying for me to come out and say something like that.
"He comes across to me as a very selfish person, when he is saying things like this."
