Mourinho 'wants' Premier League job

Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a return to England with a certain Premier League team.

Mourinho is currently with Turkish outfit Fenerbahce after he was sacked by AS Roma in January this year.

Reports claim that the Portuguese tactician would keen on a return to England after voicing his displeasure with his time in Turkey recently.

According to the Guardian, Mourinho is targeting the Newcastle United job if current coach Eddie Howe decides to leave.

The 'Special One', as he is affectionately known as, has already managed in the Premier League with Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The report claims that Mourinho has reached out to intermediaries asking to be kept in the loop of any developments with the Magpies, while already met the club chairman Yasir al-Rymayyan at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix back in March but only in a social capacity.

Mourinho did recently express joining a Premier League in the bottom half of the table if he leaves Turkey.

"I think the best thing I have to do is when I leave Fenerbahce I go to a club that doesn't play UEFA competitions," he said after a draw with Man United last month.

"So, if any club in England from the bottom of the table needs a coach in two years I am ready to go, and I don't want to say anything more about it.

"I want to speak about the game. We played absolutely fantastic against a team, in theory, from a superior level. We played fantastic."
