According to TEAMtalk, the Premier League outfit value Van Dijk around €55 million in the current transfer window.
The 33-year-old remains an important figure for the Reds, who secured a third-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed that Van Dijk has since given the Public Investment Fund (PIF) the green light to approach the Reds.
Van Dijk did speak about his future after the Netherlands lost to England in the European Championship semi-final.

"I haven't the slightest idea right now. I will think carefully this summer about what I want at club level and as an international player," Van Dijk told reporters, as per ESPN.
"Then we'll go for it again, but first recover from this.
"After a season like this, where all kinds of things have happened, it gets emotional at the end because you know it's over," Van Dijk said.
