Liverpool star 'given permission' to complete Saudi move

One Liverpool star has been left out of the club's travelling squad for pre-season amid reports he is set to join Karim Benzema at Al-Ittihad.

Fabinho is reportedly nearing the end of his time at Liverpool after being the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League.

The Brazilian midfielder was not included in the club's travelling squad for their training camp in Germany, with Sky Sports new claiming he has been given permission to complete a move to Al-Ittihad.

Al-Ittihad, who are defending Saudi Pro League champions, have already bolstered their squad with the signings of Benzema and former Chelsea star N'Golo Kante, both on free transfers.

The report from Sky Sports adds that Liverpool have received an offer £40million from the Saudi Pro League champions for the Brazilian midfielder.

The 29-year-old endured a tough 2022/2023 campaign and now looks set to end his five-year stay at Anfield, where he won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.
