One of the managers touted to replace Pep Guardiola at Manchester City has now broken his silence on the matter.
Guardiola's contract at City is due to expire in June 2025, which has led to some serious uncertainly over his future, with no talks of a contract extension seemingly underway.

Last week, it was reported that City sporting director Txiki Begiristain is set to leave the club at the end of the season, which could have a huge impact on Guardiola's future at the Etihad.
There has been no formal indication that the Spanish tactician's future at City hinges on Begiristain, but Guardiola has previously admitted he has remained in Manchester due to the presence of the outgoing chief.
It has also been suggested that City have already found a replacement sporting director, with Sporting CP's current director of football Hugo Viana having reportedly agreed to fill the role in Manchester next year.
Moreover, there are reports claiming Viana will bring along with him Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim if Guardiola does not extend his contract at City.
Amorim has now spoken out on the topic, telling Portuguese outlet Cabine Desportiva: "Hugo Viana and me, we have different and separate paths.
"His appointment doesn't mean that I'm going to Man City. We have a very good professional relationship.
"Obviously, Viana, during City's week, won't be available to enter the dressing room.
"I'm going to leave him out, to avoid conflicts.
"Otherwise, everything will stay the same until the end of the season."
According to OneFootball, sources at City believe that someone leaked Begiristain's impending exit in order to put pressure on Guardiola's future with the team.

Amorim, meanwhile, was linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool earlier this year, but ended up staying at Sporting.
