Pep: I'm a handsome man, I seduce them!

After Manchester City's 1-1 draw with Liverpool, Pep Guardiola revealed his "seductive" approach to getting through to his players during training sessions.

The Citizens were unable to climb to the top of the Premier League table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by the Reds at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The Manchester side opened the scoring courtesy of a 27th minute goal by Erling Haaland, but this proved to not be enough as a thunderous 80th minute strike by Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold restricted City to just a point from the electrifying encounter.

Speaking at a post-match press conference, Guardiola revealed that due to their intense playing schedule, he does not run training sessions longer than 35 minutes.

The Spanish tactician was asked about how he imparts his wisdom in such a short span of time in training sessions, and he jokingly shared his "seductive" methods.

"Because I'm really good," he answered, per BeanymanSports.

"I'm a handsome man and I seduce them, and we did it. So, I'm really good.

"Today we have the TV, the images, and we talk individually, and moving that way. I spoke with Ruben [Dias, City defender] with what happened at Chelsea, I spoke with Kyle [Walker, City fullback] with what happened at Chelsea.

"I talked about it in this specific was after they made mistakes, they just understand."

He also admitted that in his years of coaching, his training sessions mainly focused on imparting on to players their roles and responsibilities.

"In seven years, I don't train. Maximum 35 minutes. We don't train," the City boss added.

"They started pre-season 15 days before. Do you know what 15 days is? We played the FA Cup final and then the Champions League final. They had 15 days more with the new players. We didn't do one day of tactical.

"It's the same for Jurgen [Klopp], I'm pretty sure.

"The day before this game, we did 10-15 minutes with the ball and 10 minutes defensively. Before Tuesday [when they take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League], it will be 10 minutes on the pitch, moving in that way.

"We cannot train. If we train, we don't have players for the next game. We don't have them.

"That's why we have to learn from the past: Just understand what you have to do. The press, who jumps. This is what we absolutely rely on."
