Man City 'make big decision' on top star

Manchester City have now reportedly made a big decision regarding one of their top stars.

The Citizens are currently enjoying a record-breaking streak, with their 3-0 win over Bayern Munich last week stretching their unbeaten home run in the UEFA Champions League to 25 games.

In the Premier League, their last defeat came against Tottenham Hotspur on 5 February, and they have since collected 22 out of a possible 24 points as they push for a sensational third successive English top-flight title.

In the midst of their fantastic form, though, City have experienced a few issues this season, with reports having suggested that not everyone in the camp is completely happy.

In January, fullback Joao Cancelo was shipped out on loan to Bayern until the end of the season after seeing his minutes in Manchester diminish, while there were also reports of tension between manager Pep Guardiola and star player Kevin De Bruyne last month.

Spain international Aymeric Laporte is also believed to be unsatisfied with how things are going at the Etihad, having fallen behind the likes of Nathan Ake, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji in the defensive pecking order.

Having had a knee injury earlier in the campaign, he has made just 17 appearances across all competitions for City this season, and his future is now under a cloud of uncertainty.

According to the Daily Mail, the Citizens are now prepared to sell the 28-year-old in the next transfer window, and will listen to offers for his signature in the hopes of freeing up space in the defensive line.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be monitoring the centre-back's situation, and could make a move should Sergio Ramos not renew his contract beyond the current campaign.

The report also claims that Laporte's asking price will be about £40 million (R903 million), with FC Barcelona and his former employers Athletic Bilbao also said to have him on their radars.
