According to the Telegraph, the 22-year-old is frustrated with the lack of game time this campaign and is now looking to leave when the transfer window opens next month.
The Premier League champions have been hit with a number of injuries in the midfield area, so it does come as a surprise that the midfielder has not featured.
McAtee has made just two appearances in the league but has been, with his last appearance coming as a substitute in the win over Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
