Man City 'reach agreements' on two transfer deals

Manchester City are now reportedly on the verge of sealing two transfer deals after reaching agreements over both an arrival and a departure.

Fresh off winning a historic continental treble in the 2022/23 campaign, the Citizens are undergoing a few changes of personnel in their squad, having already confirmed the signing of Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea and the departure of former captain Ilkay Gundogan as a free agent, with the German later joining FC Barcelona on a two-year contract.

The club is reportedly set for another incoming and an outgoing, however, as they look on course to land a new defender's signature, while one of their more experienced squad members is on his way out.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Pep Guardiola's side has reached an agreement on an undisclosed fee with RB Leipzig to sign centre-back Josko Gvardiol.

The Croatia international is said to have given the green light to the move a month ago, and reportedly completed the first part of a medical on Wednesday.

Per the Italian transfer expert, Algeria superstar Riyad Mahrez is on his way out to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli, the club that was recently guided to Saudi Pro League promotion by now-former manager Pitso Mosimane.

"Documents are being exchanged" by the Premier League giants and the Middle East outfit as the latter want the deal to be concluded by the end of the week.

It is reported the Algerian will pen a three-year contract in Jeddah after a fee of €35 million (R699 million), with add-ons, was agreed between the two teams.

It is believed Mahrez's medical tests will be scheduled within the next 24 hours.
