Man City star 'offered £500k-a-week' by Saudi club

A Manchester City star has reportedly been offered £500 000 (R10 million) a week to join Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.

There have been a number of European-based players making the move to the Saudi Pro League in recent weeks, most notably Ballon d'Or holder Karim Benzema and former Chelsea star N'Golo Kante.

Bernardo Silva is the latest player to attract interest from the Saudi Arabian league as his future with the Citizens remain uncertain.

ESPN have now reported that Al Hilal are willing to increase the Portugal star's wages by three times to try and get his signature.

Reports claim that the 28-year-old is open to a new challenge after winning every trophy at the Etihad in the last six seasons.

Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are also said to be interested in the  attacking midfielder, who has two years left on his current contract with the treble winners.

The report adds that the Citizens are willing to offer Silva a new contract but are unable to match the offer made by Al Hilal, who already met with the player's representatives.

Al Hilal have already bolstered their squad with the signings of Portugal international Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea.
