Man City stars to make dramatic U-turns on their futures?

Two Manchester City stars are reportedly considering making dramatic U-turns regarding their futures at the Etihad.

The Citizens have made just two new signings so far in this window, with the Croatian duo of Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic being the only additions to the continental treble-winners' first-team squad.

The club has also parted ways with three players, namely Benjamin Mendy, Riyad Mahrez, and ex-captain Ilkay Gundogan.

However, there are ongoing reports suggesting that the aforementioned trio may be joined by a few others on their way out of the club, with Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva heavily linked with moves away.

The former is being courted by Bayern Munich, while the latter is reportedly the subject of interest from both FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, with the Spanish giants said to be his preferred destination.

City boss Pep Guardiola has, however, has insisted that he wants the duo to stay, and with the 2023/24 Premier League season set to start this weekend, a decision from the two players is expected sooner rather than later as the Citizens get ready to begin their EPL title defence against newly-promoted Burnley on Friday night.

According to Sky Sports, Silva, who is previously said to have asked City to let him leave in this window, is now considering signing a new deal at the Etihad.

With no club having submitted a formal bid for the Portugal international as yet, it is claimed that he has given Barca a few more days to make an offer, otherwise he will sign on the dotted line for the Citizens.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Walker, who is also reported to have asked the Citizens to approve his exit, has also been handed an improved offer by the Mancunians and is set to decide whether to stay at City or move to Bayern.

The England international has rejected a previous extension offer form the EPL giants, but with a switch to the Bundesliga yet to be confirmed even though negotiations have been going on for weeks now, the Bavarians have reportedly become concerned that Walker could end up staying at the Etihad after all.
