Following Manchester City's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening, it has been suggested that Erling Haaland chose to join the wrong club.
The Citizens missed out on the chance to close the gap with log leaders Arsenal in the Premier League table when they were defeated by Spurs over the weekend with Harry Kane getting the winner while breaking Jimmy Greaves' record to become Tottenham's all-time leading scorer.
Haaland failed to register a single touch in the opposition box or take any shots on the London club's goal.
Despite scoring 25 EPL goals in the 2022/23 season, the Norwegian has struggled recently after only scoring in one of his last seven away matches in all competitions.
In a segment on Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher has claimed that the striker perhaps made the wrong move.
"I think we've only seen 60 per cent of Erling Haaland," the former Liverpool star said.
"You think of the goal he got vs West Ham when there was space in behind and he gets in behind.

"I know that's not there every time due to the way City play. He's come from a counter-attacking league [the Bundesliga] where it's end to end.
"You saw his blistering pace there - we don't see it here.
"He might have picked the wrong club to actually get the best out of him."
Guardiola also added that Haaland can develop his all-round game by watching players like Kane.
"With Erling, one of the attributes that surprised me the most is how he is aware he can improve in many departments," the Spanish manager said, per Sky Sports.
"And I'm pretty sure maybe watching Harry Kane, but not necessarily Harry, other players too, he has the will to think, 'I can do better.'

"With his age, this is the best thing he can believe. Otherwise, it would be boring."
"Harry Kane remains one of the best strikers I have ever seen in my life," Guardiola added. "What an exceptional player - the numbers and, more than the goals, the quality.
"That they didn't win a title (does not mean) he is not a good player. I think he proved that."
