The 24-year-old spent the latter part of the 2022/23 campaign on loan at the Blues where he made 20 appearances, contributing with four goals.

The forward was then at Barcelona last season, amassing 10 goals and eight assists in 44 appearances across all competitions for the Catalan giants.

Now, however, the Portugal international is set to continue his career at Chelsea.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Felix completed his medical on Tuesday and signed a six-year deal valid until 2030, which is said to include an option to be extended by another year.

The player is believed to have been excited at the prospect of rejoining the side now led by Italian manager Enzo Maresca.

It is an emotion that the attacker confirmed after completing the switch from Madrid to London.

"I'm really happy to be back at Chelsea and I can't wait to get started," he said per Chelsea's official website.

"I can see some familiar faces from the last time I was here, which is always nice.

"I loved my time here before and I told my friends and family that I'd love to return to the Premier League one day.

"To do that with Chelsea is a great feeling and I'm excited to be back."

The Portuguese star also spoke about the reasoning behind his choice to return to the Bridge, stating that he believes it is somewhere he will be able to shine.

"After two loans, Chelsea and Barca, I needed to stay permanently in one place.

"There is no better place for me to be than Chelsea. I see a perfect place to shine.

"It was a little bit of a lot of things that made me want to come back: the project, the club, the league, the fans, the time I spent here that I loved.

"I felt really good when I was here, despite the results we had. I'm really happy to be back."
