Chelsea have officially confirmed their 11th exit from the club.
The Premier League outfit announced that striker David Datro Fofana has been sent out on loan to the German top-flight, with the Ivorian star becoming the club's first non-permanent departure of the window so far.
An official statement by the club read, "David Fofana has completed a season-long loan move to Bundesliga side Union Berlin.
"The striker joined Chelsea in January [2023] from Norwegian club Molde and was incorporated into the men's first-team squad.

"He was handed his debut against Manchester City in the FA Cup and further appearances followed in the Premier League for the 20-year-old.
"The Ivory Coast international will now continue his development with Union, who will compete in the Champions League this season for the first time in the club's history. Good luck, David!"

The 20-year-old's contract at Chelsea runs until June 2029 after he set the club back by €12 million (R246 million) more than six months ago.
Meanwhile, 10 players have left Stamford Bridge for good so far, namely, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, N'Golo Kante, Cesar Azpilicueta, Abdul-Rahman Baba, and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to British reports, at least another five Chelsea stars could also leave before the window closes next month, including Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang and Romelu Lukaku.
