That was the Blues' tenth defeat of the league season, which has left the side 12 points adrift of the top four.
"Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club. Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition," the club said in a statement.
"In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future.
According to Squakwa, Potter had the lowest win rate of any Chelsea manager in 21st century after clinching just 12 wins from 31 games since taking over Thomas Tuchel in September last year.
Chelsea will be back in action on Tuesday evening when they host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
