The Premier League has confirmed its punishment for reigning champions Manchester City following their strange rule breaches.
With 115 charges having been brought against the club over alleged financial breaches – an investigation that is still ongoing – the Citizens have now been sanctioned for a different breach of rules, although this time it does not involve finances.

The Premier League has issued the club with a fine for breaking kick-off and re-start rules 22 times over the past two seasons.
In total, the English giants have been found to have delayed restarts by a staggering 39 minutes and 52 seconds in the past two campaigns.
The Manchester outfit has accepted a £2 million (R46.6 million) fine and apologised to the Premier League, and also reminded their players and management of their responsibilities to respect time, as per the Metro.
A statement from the Premier League reads: "The Premier League and Manchester City FC have entered into a sanction agreement after the club accepted it had breached Premier League Rule L.33 relating to kick-off and re-start obligations.

"The breaches relate to a number of Premier League matches during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.
"Rules relating to kick-offs and re-starts help ensure the organisation of the competition is set at the highest possible professional standard and provides certainty to fans and participating clubs.
"It also ensures the broadcast of all 380 League matches around the world is kept to schedule.
"As required by the Premier League Rules, the sanction agreement has been ratified by three members of the Independent Judicial Panel."
