A Manchester City star's exit from the club has now officially been confirmed amid reports of a fallout with Pep Guardiola.
Bayern Munich have signed fullback Joao Cancelo on a six-month loan transfer that will see him spend the remainder of this season in the Bundesliga.

The deal is understood to include an option to buy clause valued at €70 million (R1.3 billion).
Cancelo made 36 starts for City in the Premier League last season but saw his role reduced in this campaign, with Nathan Ake and Rico Lewis jumping ahead of him in the fullback pecking order at the Etihad.
Since the Premier League resumed after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Portugal star made only three starts for the Citizens across all competitions, something he was not happy about and that he made know to Guardiola, with whom he was said to have a massive bust-up as a result.
With the Manchester club having more than seven defenders in their first team squad, City reportedly felt there is more than enough cover in the team without the 28-year-old, who had reportedly become a disrupotive force in the team.

It is further claimed that, with Cancelo having arrived at the Allianz Arena, Bavarians right-back Benjamin Pavard could now be set to make his way to Barcelona.
