Egypt international Omar Marmoush reportedly ignored instructions from Pep Guardiola during the recent win over Everton.
The reigning Premier League champions kept their top four hopes alive after defeating the Toffees with late goals from Nico O'Reilly and Mateo Kovacic.

However, it was a frustrating outing for the Cityzens who were made to work for the late goals while Marmoush was kept quiet for the entire encounter.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Egypt international did not follow the Spaniard's instructions throughout the encounter.
Guardiola wanted Marmoush to sit on the should of the Everton defence and chase balls over the top, but the striker spent a lot of the second half receiving the ball in the midfield.
It worked out in the end for Guardiola as O'Reilly and Kovavic saved the day in the final five minutes, but the Spanish tactician was visibly frustrated with the Egyptian on the touchline.
Marmoush has netted six goals in 11 league encounters since joining the club in January from Eintracht Frankfurt.
