ONE YEAR LEFT: Salah breaks silence on his future

With Mohamed Salah in the last year of his contract, the African superstar has now broken his silence on his future. 

There was much speculation surrounding the attacker during the off-season, with the player being heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Reds are believed to have rejected all offers for the talisman ahead of the new campaign, managing to hold on to his services for at least one more year. 

It is a decision that seems to have paid off thus far, with the forward scoring two goals and assisting once in his side's Premier League encounters against Ipswich Town and Brentford.

With his deal at Anfield set to come to an end in June next year, the 32-year-old has now revealed that he has not given much thought about what happens when that time comes. 

"Before the season, I was just like, 'I've got one year left, let's just enjoy it and don't think about the contract'," Salah told Sky Sports

"I don't want to think about next year or the future, I just want to enjoy the last year [of my contract] and let's see.

"The most important thing is to take one day at a time and just be grateful to be here."

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has amassed 90 assists and 213 goals, putting him third on the club's list of all-time scorers.
