Pep makes worrying admission: 'I don't know what to do'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made a worrying admission ahead of the Manchester Derby on Sunday evening.

The Citizens' struggles continued this week after losing 2-0 to Juventus in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Heading into Sunday's clash against Manchester United, having registered just one win in their last six matches in the league, leaving the team in fourth position.

While City have a good recent record against United at Etihad, Guardiola has admitted that he does not 'have the player' due to the big injuries, including Rodri and Mateo Kovavic.

"What I want is my players back, the players that we have I will love desperately to compete with the squad that we had at the beginning of the season," Guardiola told a press conference.

"I said many times. This is the only regret that I have; I don't have the players. These players, not new ones. But in the certain moment, the right moment, we will see.."

Guardiola only has three defenders available for Sunday's clash and is unsure of how to line-up.

"I don't know what to do. Maybe some wingers have to play as a full-back, or Matheus maybe can play as a full-back, or maybe play with five-at-the-back with wing-backs as wingers," he added.

"I don't know. But the soul and the spirit of this team is there."
