Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly wants the club to sign a certain Premier League star in the January transfer window.
The Premier League champions are expected to dip into the transfer next month after dealing with a few injuries.
The midfield area looks to be the main area of concern, with Ballon d'Or winner Rodri is not expected to return this season after undergoing surgery after his ACL rapture.

According to the Daily Mail, Guardiola wants the club to sign Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes.
Guardiola is believed to be a big admirer of the Brazil international, who signed a new five-year deal with the Magpies last year that runs until 2028.
The reports that City are looking at a swap deal with Newcastle, where Portugal international Matheus Nunes would make the switch to St Jame's Park.
Nunes joined City from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2023 but has not been able to cement a regular spot in the first team squad.
Some of the other players linked with Man City include Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi and Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz.
