Pep makes transfer plea to Man City bosses

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made a decision on potential signings in the January transfer window.

The Cityzens' struggles in the Premier League continued on Boxing Day after being held to a 1-1 draw by Everton at the Etihad Stadium.

The draw has left the defending league champions 14 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool while they currently sit in seventh spot.

Guardiola has been dealing with a number of injuries this season, most notably in the midfield and defensive areas but it seems the club will be bolstering next month.

"If we can, we have to add players in January, definitely," said Guardiola, as per the Mirror.

"I think even the players asked ourselves … we are going to add some players?! Please!

"The winter (window) is not easy. We have to add some players but we have to bring players for the next three, four, five years - and that is not easy."

The defending league champions will end the year with a clash against struggling Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
