Pogba 'rejects' Premier League return

Paul Pogba has reportedly rejected a move to a Premier League club.

Following an agreement to terminate his contract, Juventus announced earlier this month that Pogba will officially become a free agent as of 30 November 2024.

The decision was confirmed after the France international had his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months following the player's appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

In his appeal, the 31-year-old argued that he had not taken a banned substance deliberately.

Pogba will now be eligible to return to full action by March 2025 while he considers what the next chapter of his career will be.

As such, there have been growing reports about his future, with France and the United States mooted as potential destinations.

However, according to Fichajes, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has already rejected a sensational return to the Premier League.

The Spanish outlet claims that Pogba has turned down a move to Newcastle United as he is leaning towards other destinations to revive his career.

The English side reportedly wanted to make the midfielder a marquee signing in the January transfer window, but those hopes now seem to be dashed.
