Rejuvenated Man Utd run riot over Everton

Manchester United 4-0 Everton

Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 4-0 thrashing of Everton at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, Joshua Zirkzee, Diogo Dalot and Casemiro were recalled to the starting line-up after starting on the bench in the UEFA Europa League.

Ruben Amorim had to wait until the 33rd minute for the opening as Rashford scored for the second league game running with a finish that deflected off Jarrad Braithewaite.

The lead was doubled five minutes before the halftime break as Zirkzee got his second goal of the season with a neat finish from Bruno Fernandes' lay-off.

The hosts only needed a minute into the second period to get the third goal when Diallo played in Rashford, who fired into the far corner to complete his brace.

The rout continued after the hour mark as Diallo did well to win the ball high up and unselfishly tee up Zirkzee, who placed the ball into the far corner.

Chelsea 3-0 Aston Villa

Chelsea extended their unbeaten to five matches in the league with a 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Blues coach Enzo Maresca recalled the regulars after Thursday's Conference League win, although Jadon Sancho was brought back into the attack.

The home side got the early lead as Nicolas Jackson bagged his eighth league goal of the season by turning home a cross from Marc Cucurella. The lead was doubled ten minutes before the halftime break when Enzo Fernandez collected a pass from Cole Palmer before rifling the ball into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Palmer then got his name on the score-sheet in the final seven minutes with a lovely finish to wrap up a good win.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur had to settle for a point drawing 1-1 with London rivals Fulham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The home side got the breakthrough ten minutes after the halftime break through Brennan Johnson, who bagged his sixth league goal with a powerful finish.

Spurs would not be able to hold on as Marco Silva's charges got the equaliser on 63 minutes through Tom Cairney, who was later sent off in the closing stages.
