Struggling Man Utd fall to West Ham

Manchester United's struggles in the Premier League continued after going down 2-1 to West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils made just two changes from the 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League, with Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes getting back in the team.

The first half was dominated by Erik ten Hag's side, but they were unable to make that dominance count as the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Diogo Dalot were guilty of missing big chances in the West Ham box.

After a disappointing first half, the home side broke the deadlock in the 74th minute when Crysencio Summerville turned home Danny Ings' cross.

The Red Devils gave themselves a lifeline when Casemiro restored with a lovely header from close-range.

However, West Ham got the winning goal in second-half stoppage from a controversial penalty, which Jarrod Bowen converted.

Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle United

Chelsea got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-1 triumph over Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were beaten by Liverpool last time out while the Magpies were winless in their last four league matches heading into this clash.

The home side got the opening goal after 18 minutes when Pedro Neto was released by a superb pass by Cole Palmer before teeing up Nicolas Jackson, who slotted home from close range.

Eddie Howe's troops did restore parity ten minutes before the interval when Aleksander Isak finished off a well-worked move in the box.

Chelsea only needed two minutes to get back in front after the break as Palmer surged towards the box before firing home from the edge of the box.

The win takes Enzo Maresca's charges up to fourth spot on the table, while find themselves in 12th position.
