Man Utd humbled by Bournemouth at Old Trafford

Manchester United 0-3 Bournemouth

Manchester United were brought down to earth from their Manchester Derby triumph and succumbed to a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

For the third game in a row, Marcus Rashford didn't feature in the match day squad as the host restored Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo in the attack while Harry Maguire came in for Matthijs de Ligt.

The start wasn't what the host anticipated as Dean Huijsen  rose above everyone in the defensive-third to head into the far corner following a free-kick.

United battled to get a foot-hold and were two goals down earlier in the second half when Justin Kluivert finished from the spot having gone down from Noussair Mazraoui's challenge.

The Red Devils were crestfallen as the Cherries began to take control where a pull-back to the box released Antoine Semenyo to execute from 10 yards and make it three.

Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea's winning run of form was halted after being to a goalless draw by a stubborn Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Pedro Neto came on for Noni Madueke before Axel Disasi took the place of the suspended Marc Cucurella who was dismissed in the Blues win over Brentford.

In pure astounding fashion, the Blues squandered a golden chance on the half-hour mark as Nicolas Jackson' first-time header from Enzo Fernandez's curling corner thumped off the woodwork.

The Blues, who have been in fine form across all competitions battled to unlock the Toffees who remained stubborn throughout to claim a valuable point in the end.

Leicester City 0-3 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers got off to a winning start under new manager Vitor Pereira after hammering Leicester City 3-0 and eased their relegation foes.

The new era at the visitors saw Matheus Cunha welcomed back from a overturned red card at Ipswich last weekend, but new coach Vitor Pereira were without Rayan Ait-Nouri through suspension.

Wolves got the ball rolling just under the midway quarter when Goncalo Guedes capitalised from a combination of poor defending by the host and finished comfortably.

More heartache came the way of the host where another defensive mix-up a little to halftime allowed Rodrigo Gomes to come in-behind and dispatched.

Long-serving Jamie Vardy looked to inspire the Foxes following the uncharacteristic start, but the counterparts draw back in numbers and contained the threats.

Thus, a further blown showed the way of Ruud Van Nistelrooy's men a minute to halftime when a high turnover from a Leicester chance urged the visitors to a third courtesy of Matheus Cunha.

Fulham 0-0 Southampton

Bottom-placed Southampton halted a barren spell of fortunes following the axing of Russel Martin and held Fulham to a goalless draw.

It was a tough outing from the onset with neither side really able to get going from the whistle and ultimately brough the first half to a goalless spell.

This sequence were maintained after the interval as the chances continued on a bare minimum therefore led matters to conclude score-less and the points shared.
