Arsenal end four-game winless streak

Arsenal ended a run of four matches without a win in the Premier League by defeating high-flying Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Gunners made five changes from the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, as Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Mikel Merino, Jorginho and Riccardo Calafiori returned to the starting line-up.

The home side thought they had taken an early lead with Jurrien Timber was on hand to turn home the rebound after Mikel Merino's header had been saved, but the goal was ruled out for an offside.

The Gunners were not to be denied in the 15th minute as Bukayo Saka grabbed his fourth league goal of the season with a superb strike inside the box after a neat pass from Martin Odegaard in the box.

Mikel Arteta's charges continued to dominate but had to wait until the 39th minute for another opening as Trossard saw his first-time strike from the edge of the box brilliantly turned away by Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels.

The Gunners only needed five minutes into the second half to bag their second goal, as substitute Thomas Partey found the back of the net with a powerful strike from distance.

The second goal looked to deflate the visitors' attempt to make a comeback as the Gunners dominated possession while still attempting to push for more goals to improve their goal-difference.

Teenager Ethan Nwaneri managed to round off the scoring for the Gunners with a composed first-time finish after getting on the end of Raheem Sterling's low cross.
