Liverpool battled back from a goal down to defeat Bournemouth 3-1 for their first victory in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Reds vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold made his 200th league appearance, as the home side were unchanged from their draw against Chelsea, with Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz leading the attack.
The Cherries, meanwhile, had former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke in the line-up.
Jurgen Klopp's charges had an erratic start, as Jaidon Anthony had a goal within a minute for the visitors ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for offside after a mix up involving Ibrahima Konate and goalkeeper Alisson.
The Reds' sloppy start was eventually punished two minutes later, as Antoine Semenyo found the back of the net for Bournemouth with a low drive in the box after Alexander-Arnold gave possession away on the edge of the box.
Klopp's men picked themselves up immediately and Diaz eventually levelled matters just before the half-hour hour mark with a half-volley after he flicked the ball in the box.
Liverpool got into another gear going forward and were awarded a penalty ten minutes before the break after Joe Rothwell brought down Dominik Szoboszlai in the box.
Salah's spot-kick for the Reds was initially saved by goalkeeper Neto but he reacted the quickest to rebound and made it 2-1 from close-range.
The Reds started the second stanza slowly and were reduced to ten men just before the hour-mark after Alexis Mac Allister was red-carded for a lunging tackle on Ryan Christie
However, the red-card to Mac Allister spurred Liverpool on upfront, as Jota quickly gave them a two-goal cushion with a tap-in from a rebound after Neto parried Dominik Szoboszlai's shot on his path.
To see out the game in the last 15 minutes, Klopp made a double change as Harvey Elliott replaced Jota and Joe Gomez came on for Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool slowed down the tempo of the match in the dying minutes and clinched their first three points haul of the season.
