Hojlund seals impressive comeback win for Man Utd

Rasmus Hojlund secured his first goal in the Premier League for Manchester United, who secured a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag made four chances from the the team that lost to West Ham United, as Raphael Varane, Marcus Rashford, Christian Eriksen and Diogo Dalot were recalled to the starting line-up.

The Villans started quite nicely and the early stages, so it was no surprise when they took the lead on 21 minutes through John McGinn's free-kick that missed every player and sailed into the back of the net.

It got better for Villa five minutes later as Leander Dendoncker was left un-marked and allowed to volley home a header from Clement Lenglet after some poor United defending on the corner.

The Red Devils managed to carve out a couple openings in the final ten minutes of the first stanza, with Rashford going close on a couple ocassions only to be denied by goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

United had the ball in the back of net shortly after the break through Alejandro Martinez's finish, however celebrations were cut short after the Argentine was deemed to have been in offside position.

The hosts did pull one back in the 58th minute through same combination as Rashford broke into the box and sent a cross to the far post, where Garnacho was on hand to tap home.

With 20 minutes to go, Ten Hag's troops managed to restore parity as Garnacho completed his brace with a deflected finish from just inside the box.

The Red Devils then went ahead in the 81st minute as McGinn's failure to clear a corner saw the ball fall kindly for Hojlund, who found the back of the net with a first-time volley to open his account in the league.
