STUNNED: Man Utd fall to second successive loss

Manchester United suffered a second defeat in a row following a 3-2 loss at the hands of Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim gave starts to Lenny Yoro, Amad Diallo, Lisandro, Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo after the defeat to Arsenal during the week.

Forest needed just two minutes to find the breakthrough from a dead-ball situation as Elliot Anderson's corner found Nikola Milenkovic who powered home a header at the near post.

The home side did get themselves back on level terms as Rasmus Hojlund bagged his second league goal of the campaign by slotting home from six-yards out after Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels did well to deny Alejandro Garnacho first.

There was a lively end to the first half as Bruno Fernandes went close to putting the Red Devils ahead before the break after his curling free-kick crashed against the crossbar.

However, Forest restored their lead two minutes after the halftime break when Morgan Gibbs-White unleashed a strike from distance that took a deflection and sailed into the bottom corner.

The next ten minutes proved quite a rid as Chris Woods bagged the third goal for the visitors with a lovely towering header at the far post after a mix-up between Martinez and De Ligt.

United did get themselves back into the contest after 61 minutes when Fernandes found the back of the net with a lovely finish from the edge of the box after some good work by Diallo on the right wing.

The Red Devils threw everything forward in search of a equalising goal, but the visitors were able to remain resolute at the back to claim a famous victory at Old Trafford.
