Man Utd move four points clear of Liverpool

Manchester United 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Manchester United got back to winning ways to maintain their top-four hopes in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The Red Devils hit the front around the half-hour mark after a ball in behind from Antony spotted Anthony Martial who made no mistake from close-range.

Wolves were cut open again within the final minutes to full-time as Alejandro Garnacho fired in off the post and saw the host back to winning ways.

Southampton 0-2 Fulham

Southampton's 11-year stay in the top-flight came to an end as a 2-0 loss to Fulham relegated them to the Championship.

With no goals during the first half, the visitors went ahead after Carlos Vinicius continued his rich vein of form in front of goal through a tap-in two minutes in the second half.

Veteran forward Aleksandar Mitrovic made the points safe for the travelling outfit as he finished off a diving header and condemned the Saints to the Championship.

Chelsea 2-2 Nottingham Forest

Chelsea came from behind to force a 2-2 draw against the relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard's men were behind early when Taiwo Awoniyi broke the deadlock and furthermore left the Blues trailing at the halftime period.

Chelsea turned it around after the break and levelled when Raheem Sterling picked up a layoff from good work by Trevor Chalobah and drilled in the bottom-corner.

Sterling secured a brace 12 minutes following the resumption after he collected Ruben Loftus-Cheek's delivery and shot across the goal and into the net.

Forest didn't give up but conjured up an equaliser midway in the second half when Awoniyi applied an outstretched header at the far post and steered past Edouard Mendy.

Aston Villa 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur continued to slip further away from the top-half after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Aston Villa out at the Villa Park.

The Clarets laid down the marker eight minutes from the start when Jacob Ramsey launched an intelligent run towards the area and tucked past Fraser Foster.

As Spurs looked to work a comeback, Villa made their task more harder within the closing 20 minutes as Brazilian international Douglas Luiz curled in a delightful set-play.

Spurs did have a consolation at the death when a coming-together in the box led to a penalty and Harry Kane stepped up to find the net, but it was too little too late.

Crystal Palace 2-0 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace remained in 12th place on the table after seeing off the struggling Bournemouth 2-0 at Selhurst Park.

The match took a while to get going but the host began to assert authority before halftime and duly hit the opening when Eberechi Eze finished off a flick-on from Jordan Ayew.

Eze was at it again following the break as the forward moved inside to the danger area from a supply across the half-way line and thus curled in the top corner of the net.
