Saudi Pro League director sends message to Salah

Saudi Pro League director Michael Emenalo has opened about Liverpool star Mohamed Salah making the switch to the Middle East.

The Egyptian forward was heavily linked with a move to Al-Ittihad before the start of the season.

The Saudi Pro League side reportedly offered a fee of £100million for Salah's services, but the Premier League outfit turned the offer down.

Emenalo said a player of Salah's calibre would be welcomed in the Middle East, but added that are not putting any pressure on the player.

"Mo Salah, like [Lionel] Messi, [Karim] Benzema, [Cristiano] Ronaldo and the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, these are players that when there is a sense of availability for them, we are willing to listen," Emenalo said via Sky Sports News.

"But we also understand that Mo is happy where he is at present and in a historic, wonderful club at Liverpool. We respect that very much and we don't want to come across as putting any pressure on him.

"But if there is any interest to do something, Mo Salah is a player that you want in your league, in any league."

"We respect them [Liverpool] and in this scenario, the initiative will not come from us. It's a personal thing, I like him a lot. A player of this level and talent it's normal that his league wants to keep him."
