Tevez, who spent seven years in the Premier League from 2006 till 2013, is currently pondering retirement with his boyhood club Boca Juniors and feels he has no reason to return to Europe, having achieved all he could during his playing days with Manchester United, Manchester City and the Bianconeri.
The 32-year-old went on to explain that his only remaining goal is to win the Copa Libertadores with Xeneizes before he eventually hangs up his boots.
"Conte called me to go to Chelsea, and I told him no. I wasn't in a good way, and I had to think about a lot of things. It was Boca or retire," he told Radio La Red.
"You realise a lot of things, like family. Since I've come to Boca I live for the club. When you can't reach your objective you rethink a lot of things.
"I had to sit back and look at the big picture, and look ahead and see if I had the will to keep playing or not."
