With Chelsea star N'Golo Kante's contract expiring at the end of this season, two major European clubs are reportedly pursuing the Frenchman who will be available to sign in January.
The 31-year-old has endured a frustrating start to the 2022/23 season as his consistent injuries have led to the midfielder only making two appearances as things stand.
The previous campaign was no different as Kante missed over 15 games while on the sidelines.
This injury history has led to the Blues being cautious about offering the central midfielder a new contract with the same reported wages worth £290 000 a week.

A disagreement over the wages has seemingly deterred talks from progressing leaving the London club in a precarious situation where they could lose Kante on a free.
According to the Daily Express, Juventus and Inter Milan are leading the charge for his signature ahead of the January transfer window.
Both clubs are permitted to sign the player in January on a pre-contract.
However, Chelsea appear to have other plans as they look to doing a swap deal with the Serie A duo with reports suggesting that a potential deal that will see Adrien Rabiot come to Stamford Bridge could be on the cards.

The 27-year-old held talks with Manchester United during the most recent transfer window but a switch to the EPL failed to materlise.
Meanwhile, Inter's Milan Skriniar is said to be a target for Chelsea leaving a potential swap deal as the Slovakian edges closer to leaving the club.
