Juventus striker Alvaro Morata weighing up Premier League offers

The 23-year-old Spaniard joined the Italian champions from Los Blancos two seasons ago, yet is expected to return to the Santiago Bernabeu as Madrid are set to activate their buyback clause on his contract.

Morata, who helped the Bianconeri to two League and Cup doubles, revealed his love for his hometown club, yet insists he wants to play where he feels important, having been mostly used as a substitute at Juve this past season, with just 12 goals across all competitions to his name.

"Clearly that is what I would like. That is my wish, to succeed in Madrid," he told AS.

"But in Madrid there are great players. And what I want is to play and feel important."

Reports suggest Arsenal have made an offer for the talented forward, with Morata himself admitting there has been contact made from clubs in the Premier League, a destination he would consider in future.

"There are some offers from England that are tempting, not only by contract," he said.

"I think for my characteristics the Premier League would also be a great destination.

"I'm saying a move to the Premier League would not be a step backwards. With what I have learned in Italy, if I have the chance to learn something more in England I think it would make me a more complete, better player.

"I'm 23 and all I want is progress, to play and learn from the best."

Morata is currently part of the Spanish national team set-up as they continue their preparations for next month’s Euro 2016 Championships.
