PSG are reportedly close to landing the Monaco teenager in a big-money deal that could see fellow striker Lucas Moura go the other way.
The French giants recently raised Aulas's ire when they smashed the transfer world record with the €222m capture of Neymar from Barcelona.
Unai Emery's side currently top the standings with nine points from three games, with Neymar bagging a pair of goals and assists in a 6-2 rout of Toulouse on Sunday.
"When we see the game on Sunday night, is it useful that Mbappe comes to the PSG?" Aulas told RMC.
"Is this useful for the competition and for the economic development of football?
"If you no longer have an equilibrium in terms of investors, eventually you risk not having this great football as seen with PSG.
"I'm afraid that we get into a bicep surge, which is not useful. Will it improve the performance of PSG as Mbappe comes? If you stack, with supernatural money, the best players in a team, you do not have any more competition."
Aulas also confirmed Lyon, with seven points from three matches, are monitoring PSG midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.
