REPORT: Manchester United ready to break the bank for Paul Pogba

United are also ready to play the player over a €1-million (R16-million) a month to ward off interest from Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to bring in the forward to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and is ready to make him the most expensive player in history.

Respected Spanish newspaper AS makes the claims as Pogba apparently has cooled his interest in moving to Madrid.

He would make a return to Old Trafford four years after leaving on a free for Juventus in 2012, an incredibly expensive mistake on the part of then United coach Alex Ferguson.

Pogba had been little used by Ferguson and his contract allowed to run down.

The 23-year-old’s agent, who would stand to make €25-million (R400-million) from the move, has already taken Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester in this transfer window.
