Haaland: This is why Man City bought me

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland says he will do everything possible to help the Citizens win the famous treble this season.

Cross-town rivals Manchester United are the only English to win the treble after they won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup in the 1998/99 season under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Haaland has taken the league by storm this year after scoring a record-breaking 36 goals in 35 games this season and he now has sights on the FA Cup this weekend against the Red Devils.

"It would be unreal to make this history," the Norwegian striker told the BBC.

"This is why they bought me of course, to get this, we don't have to hide that.

"It would mean everything. I will do everything I possibly can to try to make it happen. It's my biggest dream and hopefully dreams do come true."

"But as well it's not easy -- it's two finals against two good teams that will do everything they can to try to destroy that.

"They will be motivated, they will be ready and we have to play at our best, because if we play at our best we have a really good chance of achieving exactly that."
