Manchester United clinched the FA Cup after overcoming fierce rivals Manchester City 2-1 on Saturday evening.
Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji and Jeremy Doku were removed by City and had John Stones, Nathan Ake and Mateo Kovacic come in, whilst United welcomed back Raphael Varane and Marcus Rashford from the win over Brighton Hove Albion last Sunday.
Ortega was in the thick of things in the opening couple of minutes when he was required to come across his area to parry Alejandro Garnacho's rasping shot.
The Argentine did get one over the shot-stopper on the stroke of halftime after he managed to run onto a loose ball following miscommunication at the back and finished comfortably.
It continued to go the way of the Red Devils where nine minutes later a burst of speed into the area by Kobbie Mainoo granted him to meet Bruno Fernandes' probing pass and dispatched emphatically.
City were unable to orchestrate an immediate response, with the rivals seeing all of the momentum and moreover ascendancy as the half drew to a close.
The Cityzens turned to the bench after the conclusion of halftime and introduced Akanji for Ake before Kovacic made way for Doku to come on.
Doku immediately stuck in the thick of things a little later after his darting cross from a smart area landed perfectly to Erling Haaland who struck the upright on the half-volley.
Argentine international Julian Alvarez could've cut the deficit midway through the contest with a one-on-one following a through pass, but he pulled wide.
The Cityzens did halve the tally three minutes to the end as Doku cut inside from a tight angle and slammed in at the near post amidst the efforts of Andre Onana.
Despite the strike, the Premier League champions were unable to level matters and left the Red Devils to victory as well as the FA Cup.
