Barca 'name price' for Man Utd target De Jong

FC Barcelona have reportedly named their asking price for midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who remains linked with Manchester United.

The links with the Red Devils resurfaced again this week, with the Premier League outfit still looking to bolster their midfield options for the new season.

Reports in Spain are now claiming that the Catalan giants would be open to selling the Netherlands international during this transfer window.

According to Morretto, the Catalan giants are willing to let the former Ajaxa Amsterdam midfielder leave for in the region of €60million.

The one major problem in offloading would be De Jong's wages, as the report adds he is set to earn €30million due to his deferred wages from the pandemic.

De Jong, however, is currently out injured after due to an ankle injury which kept him out the 2024 European Championship.

The Catalan giants still need to offload players to lower their wage bill going into the new season, as new players need to be registered.

Barcelona have only made just one signing so far after Dani Olmo was officially unveiled by the club on Friday afternoon.
